The Rhubarb Canadian Red, 'Rheum rhaberbarum', a spring planted herbacious root, is a hardy rhubarb variety. Think rhubarb pie when you have this plant growing in your garden. Canadian Red is an excellent grower that produces big, bright red stalks. Like all rhubarb, it should not be cut until the third year of growth.
