The Daylily Pygmy Plum, Hemerocallis 'Pygmy Plum' (Moldovan, '90), has large edge ruffled blooms that are plum colored with a small lemon green throat on semi-evergreen foliage. Pygmy Plum will bloom for in June and July and is a constant rebloomer. It can survive harsh conditions that many other plants can not and prefers full sun for the best performance.Daylilies are some of the easiest plants to grow and are a good choice for any gardener. They will grow in almost any soil and handle drought to wet soil conditions. Use for stand alone plantings, edging, in borders or in mixed containers and tubs.

The Dianthus Cranberry Ice, Dianthus 'Cranberry Ice' (PPAF), has intricately patterned 1 1/2 inch pink flowers with a purple eye and pink frilled edge with mounded blue-green foliage. It is heat and drought tolerant for short periods however produces the best foilage and flowers in areas not so warm and dry. The Fuchsia Cape Horn, Fuchsia 'Cape Horn'Gao, is a truly hardy fuchsia with very distinctive single bloom flowers of magenta and purple coloring. The flowers appear mid summer through frost. They are great plants for greenhouses, window boxes, baskets, homes, and flower beds. Fuchsias should be planted in warm, sheltered spots in well-drained soil. These plants have dark green leaves often with red stems. Fuchsia are one of the Hummingbirds favorite flowers. Fuchsias do not like to dry out. Keep the soil moist to the touch from spring through autumn. In many parts of the country (and especially if planted in a hanging pot) the fuchsia will require daily watering.

The Iris Tiger Honey, Iris x germanica 'Tiger Honey' is a fragrant reblooming bearded iris that has yellow flowers with streaks of white in the petals. With a velvety texture and beautiful sword-shaped foliage, it has a plant height of 32'Y. Tiger Honey blooms in the spring and then again in the fall. It prefers average, well-drained soil. Tiger Honey prefers full sun, but will tolerate a little afternoon shade. It will make a great addition around pools, ponds and water gardens, and for mass plantings. It can also be used in difficult banks and preventing erosion. They also make magnificent cut flowers and are resistant to deer.

The Lavender Violet Intrigue, Lavender angustifolia 'Violet Intrigue' (PP15,344), is probably the best lavender on the market today. It has beautiful violet flowers on upright stems and has a longer blooming season than all other lavenders. Violet Intrigue blooms in mid summer and has a plant height of 24". It is extremely fragrant which is usually the reason that gardeners grow the flower. It makes a great short hedge or stand alone in any perennial garden.

The Phlox Junior Bouquet?, Phlox paniculata 'Junior Bouquet?' (PP18,685), has striking pink flowers with a dark pink eye on a compact free-branching habit. It is one the Phlox Junior series that contain mildew resistant plants. Blooming all summer long, it has a plant height of 10-15'Y. As a definite addition to any perennial garden, it attracts butterflies and provides a mainstay of summer color. Junior Bouquet? needs to be planted in a full sun area in well-drained soil. Use Junior Bouquet? in rock gardens, as a border or in a cut flower garden. Remove faded flower clusters to encourage continuous blooming.

The Heuchera 'Plum Pudding'O, Heuchera x 'Plum Pudding'O, also known as a Coral Bell and Alumroot, has unique pewter gray and silver foliage with undercurrents of deep purple. In the spring time, small green and maroon flowers appear that last into the summer, however, Coral Bells are not known for their flowers, but their foliage. 'Plum Pudding'O has a plant spread of 18-24'Y and a height of 12'Y. It is best to grow 'Plum Puddings'O in medium wet, well-drained soils, in full shade. (It can tolerate some morning sun.) 'Plum Pudding'O looks especially good around the edge of borders, near variegated plants, woodland edges, rock gardens, perennial borders, or in mass to form an attractive ground cover.
