The Elephant Ear Black Stem, ‘Colocasia Esculenta’, has huge leaves that are a little darker green that the regular Elephant Ear and they sit atop black stems. It is a new variety of the spring planted bulb. It looks great in a container or in your shade garden. The large beautiful green leaves will add diversity to any landscape. Elephant’s Ear bulbs produce large tropical looking plants that look great when used with other colorful plants like Caladiums. Elephant’s Ear grows best in well drained soils that are fertilized and watered regularly. This bulb is 11-13 inches in circumfrance.
